Author Lisa Black Returns to
Hudson Library
Forensic specialist and
author Lisa Black kicks off her “Evidence of Murder” tour at the
Hudson
Library & Historical Society on Wednesday, September 9th
at 7 p.m. Her latest thriller, “Evidence
of Murder,” scheduled for release September 8th, is a
sequel to last year’s highly successful
“Takeover.”
Both
novels are set in downtown Cleveland and feature forensic scientist
Theresa MacLean, who
Booklist magazine calls a “compelling protagonist.” New
York Times bestselling author Tess
Gerritson proclaims,
"Lisa Black wows us with another tense and
unputdownable thriller. She is,
quite simply, one of the best storytellers around."
Ms. Black, who formerly wrote
under the name Elizabeth Becka, has a degree in biology and was
previously employed as a forensic scientist at the Cuyahoga County
Coroner's Office, where she
analyzed gunshot residue on hands and clothing, hairs, fibers,
paint, glass, DNA, blood and many
other forms of trace evidence, as well as crime scenes. She
currently works as a latent print
examiner for the city of Cape Coral, Florida Police Department,
working mostly with fingerprints
and crime scenes. She is a member of the Sisters In Crime, Mystery
Writers of America, and
International Thriller Writers.
