ABOUT
This free program encourages teens to keep reading all the way through high school graduation. Using their library Beanstack account, students in grades 8-12 can log each time they finish a book. They will earn digital badges along the way and prizes from the library at 25, 50, 75, and 100 books. Only newly read books count, so grab a book and start reading!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
It’s easy to participate in the program – just follow the steps below!
- If you don’t already have a Beanstack account, create one at https://hudsonlibrary.beanstack.org and join the 100 Books Before Graduation challenge.
- Read!
- When you finish reading a book, enter it on your Beanstack account.
- Repeat steps 1-3!
- When you reach the milestones of 25, 50, 75, and 100 books come to the teen desk at the library and receive your prize.
There’s no rush – the program ends when you finish 100 books or when you graduate high school. It may seem like a lot, but by reading just a few pages a day you will finish before you know it. Remember that ALL books count: fiction or non-fiction, graphic novels, manga, novels in verse, eBooks, audiobooks, and books you read for a school assignment all count. The only restrictions are you can’t count the same book more than once and they need to be read after you register.
